Background: He grew up with his parents and his sister, six years younger than him. His parents were artists and divorced when he was young. His father re-married an american women when Till was 12. Till has two daughters. He brought up Nele, his first born, on his own for almost seven years. He got divorced and has not yet re-married.

Other:
He lives in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg in a top flat with big windows. He likes Marilyn Manson but also listens to calmer music like Chris Isaak. He was a Euroean Olympic swimming champion when he was younger but an injury in his stomach ended his swimming-career (If you watch the 'Live Aus Berlin' video closely you can see his scar). He refused to do military service and was almost imprisoned because of that. He smokes.

Unlike the other band members, Till is very reluctant to give interviews. It has been observed that he has his left ear pierced, but doesn't wear an earring in it. He also sometimes wears glasses. He is rumored to have have lost his virginity at 16 on a haystack!
